Tommy DeCarlo has just released a new track.

What About Us, which was released April 7th, is a song that Tommy had originally recorded a demo of about 25 years ago. Tommy posted about this on his Facebook page:

A few months ago, I was going through some boxes in the attic and came across several original song demos I put together about 25 years ago. This particular song just so happens to be one of my very first. Listening back, I couldn’t help but laugh when I heard how raw and unpolished the recording was. However, I felt the song itself was worth revisiting, so I spent the last couple of months re-tracking it.

The inspiration for the song came from the music I was listening to at the time I wrote it—Anita Baker, Sade, Michael Jackson, and a few other R&B artists. I did my best to give the song that mid-’80s to early-’90s feel.
