Tom Scholz's real name is Donald? Apparently so. Mayor Marty Walsh wished the leader of the rock band Boston a happy 70th birthday Friday morning, and the certificate is addressed to Donald Thomas Scholz. Huh, who knew? The birthday wishes cite Scholz's "service as an engineer, musician, and philanthropist." An MIT grad, Scholz was in his late 20s in 1976 when Boston released its self-titled debut album. The record, featuring the single "More Than a Feeling," still ranks as one of the most successful first LPs of all time, with over 17 million copies sold.
